Reed Exhibitions, the organisers of the personal care ingredients event, In-cosmetics Korea, has announced that 33 new suppliers would be joining the expo, which will run from 13-15 June 2018 in Seoul. Of the 33 new suppliers joining the event this year, 14 are based in South Korea, with the remaining ones coming from China, Europe, India and the US.
“The event is well on track to attract a record number of exhibitors in 2018. Around 50% of those already confirmed originate from outside of Korea,” the organisers said.
Korean beauty is the undisputed world leader with the country home to thousands of beauty brands, with the leading players launching between 20-30 new products every month. Beauty technology from Korea is estimated to be 12-14 years ahead of the US. According to Euromonitor International, the Korean beauty industry will be worth more than $13-bn by 2020.
This year In-cosmetics Korea will also launch a special ‘Formulation Day’ on 13 June. The event will offer a plethora of activities including exclusive formulation technique coaching by industrial experts in the ‘Formulation Lab’, live demonstrations in the ‘Sensory Formulation Demonstration’ area and presentations in the ‘Marketing Trends Theatre’. The day will culminate in the ‘Formulation Award’ ceremony, where the R&D team that has best demonstrated market-leading innovation in the field will be presented with the award.
