Milamar Coatings, an Oklahoma City-based supplier of epoxy and urethane systems for industrial, flooring and wall applications, has been acquired by DalFort Capital Group, the parent company of other coatings firms including VersaFlex and Raven Lining Systems.
The companies announced the move Tuesday (Sept. 24); financial terms were not disclosed.
Oklahoma City-based Milamar Coatings has been acquired by DalFort Capital Group, parent company of VersaFlex and Raven Lining Systems.
Milamar, with more than 35 years in the coatings industry, manufactures coatings marketed under the brands International Coatings Inc., Protective Floorings & Linings, PolyMax and SuperCoat. Its industrial offerings include floor and wall coatings for applications such as food and beverage, aerospace, chemical processing facilities, storage tanks and secondary containment.
The company also markets to the commercial, architectural and residential sectors.
DalFort’s holdings include VersaFlex and Raven, which officially partnered early this year, as well as Air Performance (a Hartford, Alabama-based manufacturer of architectural products) and United Enertech (a supplier of architectural air movement and control products, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee).
“This is an exciting opportunity for Milamar to unite with customer-focused brands that share our vision to provide training and growth opportunities for customers who take pride in upholding the highest performance standards,” said Milamar general manager Kyle Frans.
“This move allows us to broaden our specialty coatings portfolio and gain access to a unique array of solutions and services which help us in delivering increased value to our customers,” added DalFort operating partner Tom Verghese, who is executive chairman of VersaFlex. “We look forward to leveraging the combined strengths of Milamar, VersaFlex and Raven Lining Systems to deliver innovative leadership to our targeted market segments.”
DalFort purchased Milamar from previous owner ShoreView Industries, which had acquired the company in 2012.
