On May 20th, the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas received a report from the animal disease prevention and control center of China. It was confirmed by the Sichuan provincial animal disease prevention and control center that there was an outbreak of African swine plague in Ruoergai County, Aba Prefecture. Up to now, there are 429 live pigs in the epidemic area of Jiangzha Township, 111 of them are infected and 78 of them are dead. After the outbreak of the epidemic, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas immediately dispatched a supervisory team to the local area. The local government has launched the emergency response mechanism according to the requirements, and adopted measures such as blockade, culling, harmless treatment and disinfection. At the same time, all live pigs and their products are forbidden to be transferred out of the blockade area and pigs are forbidden to be transported into the blockade area. At present, the above measures have been implemented.
