Anthracite market, who is the substitute?

Anthracite, commonly known as white coal or red coal. It is the coal with the greatest degree of coalification in all kinds of coal. Anthracite has high fixed carbon content, low volatile yield, high density, high hardness, high ignition point and no smoke when burning. Black is hard and metallic. Friction with grease does not cause contamination, and the fracture is shell-like. When burning, the flame is short and the smoke is less. No coking. Generally, the carbon content is more than 90%, and the volatile matter is less than 10%. No colloid layer thickness. The calorific value is about 6000-7500 kcal/kg. After simple screening and washing, anthracite raw coal can be simply divided into anthracite lump coal and anthracite washed coal. Among them, anthracite washed coal is also called anthracite washed clean coal. Its main use is as a substitute for coke for blast furnace injection coal.

According to the anthracite index and particle size, the use of anthracite can be divided into two categories: raw coal and fuel coal. Anthracite has a wide range of applicability. It is widely used in power, metallurgy, chemical industry, building materials and civil applications. According to the data of recent years, among anthracite consumption, power industry accounts for about 36%, chemical industry and cement industry account for 20%, and steel industry accounts for 7%. The output of anthracite lump coal is much smaller than that of anthracite tailings due to the limitations of coal type, underground geological conditions and mining technology. Among them, about 80% of anthracite lump coal is used as chemical coal, which is used as raw coal for synthetic ammonia, urea and other chemical products. Others are used in civil, industrial, building materials and other fields.

Anthracite is mostly used as electric coal and in electric power industry, followed by chemical and metallurgical industries as raw coal and fuel coal; high-quality anthracite fine coal such as low phosphorus, low ash, low sulfur, high calorific value anthracite fine coal in Northwest China can also be used in carbon industry to do so. For example, carbon electrode, anode paste and activated carbon raw materials; some high-quality anthracite made into aviation briquette can also be used for aircraft engine and vehicle motor thermal insulation.

Anthracite coal is of good quality. As a scarce coal resource, its output accounts for about 10-15% of the total output of coal. Since the implementation of supply-side reform in China in 2016, a large number of small and medium-sized unqualified and backward anthracite coal production capacity has been withdrawn from the market, and the price of anthracite as a whole is relatively high, but from 201. Eight years ago, as China entered the post-supply-side reform period, the requirements of environmental protection for coal, chemical industry, steel and other industries have gradually deepened. The market of anthracite represented by anthracite in Jincheng area has been impacted to a certain extent, and the market share of anthracite lump coal has been continuously squeezed as a substitute.

One of the alternatives to anthracite lump coal: gasified coal represented by Shenmu in Shaanxi Province and Ordos in Inner Mongolia: In recent years, under the multiple pressures of policy, environmental protection and market, the fixed bed gasification process with anthracite lump coal as raw material has been greatly impacted, and some large and medium-sized domestic chemical enterprises have begun to phase out. Fixed-bed batch gasifier at atmospheric pressure has begun to use new types of space furnace, Luzhou gas furnace and other devices. Such gasifier has lower requirements for coal, and the cheaper bituminous coal can also be used as gasification raw material. Naturally, under the pressure of environmental protection and cost, gasified coal has gradually been used as an alternative to anthracite lump coal. More widely used. Blue charcoal is one of the substitutes for anthracite fine coal. Orchid char, also known as semi-coke and coke powder, is fired from high-quality Jurassic concentrate lump abundant in Shenfu Coalfield. It is a coking product between coke and raw coal. It has the characteristics of high fixed carbon, high specific resistance, high chemical activity, low ash content, low aluminium, low sulfur and low phosphorus, and is widely used in calcium carbide and titanium alloys. Production of other products. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of technology, the index of blue charcoal produced by some domestic enterprises has been able to replace anthracite fine coal to meet the injection demand of normal blast furnace. Moreover, the price of blue charcoal is lower than that of homogeneous anthracite, and replacing the use of anthracite can directly reduce the purchase cost; as a cleaner energy, blue charcoal will gradually become a strong competitor for anthracite fine coal in the future market.
