ECHEMI 2020-04-15

According to customs statistics, the export volume of sorbitol No. 38246000 in January-February 2020 was 17419.173 tons, the average export price was US $ 7955690, and the average export price was US $ 456.72 / ton. From January to February 2020, the export volume increased by 82.16% year-on-year in 2019, and the export growth was obvious, but the average export price fell by 11.96% year-on-year.

From January to February 2020, the export volume of sorbitol showed a substantial increase, mainly because China is already the world's largest producer of sorbitol, the selling price is much lower than that of foreign manufacturers, and the export advantages are obvious. With overcapacity in alcohol, upstream manufacturers and foreign trade companies mostly use exports to ease the pressure on domestic shipments. With relatively substantial profits, domestic factories have no shortage of bidding shipments to increase the proportion of exports, which has dragged down export prices.

From January to February 2020, the main exporters of sorbitol accounted for the export statistics: Shandong exports accounted for the largest share, accounting for 64% of the total exports, followed by Hebei and Jiangsu provinces, which accounted for 20% and 15%, respectively. At present, Shandong, Hebei and Jiangsu Province are the main production areas of sorbitol, especially the production capacity of sorbitol in Shandong area accounts for more than 70% of the national production capacity.

Future market export forecast: The recent sudden public safety incidents abroad have continued to ferment. The main exporters of sorbitol, such as Thailand and Vietnam, have strengthened their defense and control. They are now in a state of closure and the export of sorbitol is subject to certain restrictions. In the short term, export demand remains It is difficult to recover, and the shrinking export volume in April is an inevitable event. Thailand ’s exports accounted for the largest proportion. According to customs statistics, the volume of exports to Thailand in January-February was 3173.56 tons, accounting for 18.22% of the total exports, followed by Vietnam and Indonesia, which accounted for 2215.2 tons and 1609.6 tons respectively. , Accounting for 12.72% and 9.24% of total exports, respectively.
