China's first high temperature resistant alumina fiber new material factory put into operation
On the morning of October 25, the first phase of Shanghai Rongrong New Materials Advanced Manufacturing Base, with an investment of 3.8 billion yuan and an area of 142 mu, was completed in the Lingang new area of Shanhai Free Trade Zone.
Rongrong New Materials Lingang Industrial Base project is a major project of Shanghai in 2022, with the first phase of the project investing 3.8 billion yuan and covering an area of 142 mu, China News reported. The FACTORY, WHICH HAS the capability of self-research and production of high temperature resistant alumina fiber new materials, will become the third enterprise in the world and the first enterprise in China with the capacity of mass production of such products, and fill the gap in China's high performance fiber materials industry.
Alumina continuous fiber is internationally recognized as a new generation of main materials for high-temperature hot end components, with high melting point, low thermal conductivity, good insulation, strong resistance to chemical erosion and other characteristics. The material has advantages in the preparation of ablative thermal insulation composite materials, suitable for aviation, aerospace, Marine, thermoelectric, petrochemical, semiconductor, automotive and high temperature furnace and other high-end fields. Continuous alumina fiber production has not been stable in China before.
