China丨Lier to build an intermediate project of Pyridine herbicide with ¥605 million

On Nov 21, Lier held the fifth meeting of the sixth board of directors by means of a communication conference, deliberating and passing the Motion on Chemical Intermediates and supporting engineering projects. In this meeting, they agreed that Lier (Guangan), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, will implement chemical intermediate and   supporting engineering projects in the Guangan base of the company, with the main product of TCPA sodium salt. TCPA sodium salt, namely Tetrachloropyridine-2-carboxylicacid, is an important intermediate of pyridine herbicides, which can be used for the synthesis of Clopyralid and Picloram, and has a large market in the field of weeding orchard and no-arable land in China.

The totally investment of the project is expected to be ¥6.05 million by Lier through self-financing and the construction period is expected to be 14 moths. After the completion of the project, it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of ¥535 million and an annual after-tax profit of about ¥141 million. The project has obtained the relevant government approval procedures and the relevant construction land warrant.

The implement of this project will help to meet the demand of key intermediates for the increase of the output of existing products of Lier, build a complete industrial chain and improve the competitiveness of products, which will help to improve the overall profitability of Lier.
