According to enterprise investigation data, there are 2,660 medical testing related enterprises in China, and 1,967 exist.

In 2021, 314 new medical testing related enterprises were added, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%; In the first half of 2022, 237 new registrations were registered, a year-on-year increase of 51.9%.

In terms of regional distribution, whether in 2021 or the first half of 2022, the top three places with medical testing related enterprises are: Guangdong, Beijing and Jiangsu.

According to the data of "Medical Testing Related Enterprise Registration & Growth Trend in the Past Decade" statistics, the number of medical testing related enterprise registrations has shown an upward trend year by year in the past ten years, of which the number of registrations in 2015, 2016 and 2017 increased the most, increasing by 155.9%, 81.6% and 58.9% year-on-year to 87, 158 and 251 respectively. In 2021, 314 new companies were added, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, and from January to mid-May 2022, 145 new medical testing related enterprises were added in China.

According to enterprise investigation data, from the perspective of urban distribution, there are 195 medical testing related enterprises in Beijing, ranking first, and 162 in Shenzhen, second only to Beijing; The number of existing related enterprises in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Wuhan is more than 70, with 99, 90 and 86 respectively. Since the beginning of this year, the health administrative departments of Beijing, Hefei, Anhui, Shijiazhuang, Hebei, Xuchang, Inner Mongolia and other places have found some violations of laws and regulations in the supervision of testing institutions, and have all imposed serious penalties. Some offending institutions and individuals have also been held criminally responsible. “

On November 11, the Kunming Municipal Health Commission issued a notice that the Kunming Huanji Medical Laboratory had been placed on file for investigation due to chaotic management, lax quality control, and dereliction of duty.

Since the beginning of this year, a number of nucleic acid testing institutions have been investigated for suspected violations.

In May ~ June this year, Beijing Pushi Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd., Beijing Jinquan Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd., and Beijing Zhongtong Lambo Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd. were all placed on file for investigation by the public security organs on suspicion of obstructing the prevention and control of infectious diseases.

On September 14, according to the website of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau for Market Regulation, Kuoran Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd. was confiscated more than 350,000 yuan of illegal income and fined 33,000 yuan by the Shanghai Jiading District Market Supervision Administration.

On September 24, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Public Security Bureau in Hebei Province issued a notice that the Shijiazhuang Hehe Medical Laboratory was suspected of illegal crimes, and the Shijiazhuang police had opened a case for investigation.

Some nucleic acid enterprises began to write off

In terms of years, the peak of enterprise cancellation and revocation is concentrated in the past three years, with 55, 53 and 57 medical testing-related enterprises canceled and revoked in 2019, 2020 and 2021 respectively, and as of November 29, 52 related enterprises were cancelled and revoked in 2022.
