Chemours launches a new titanium dioxide product
Chemours announces the launch of a new Ti-Pure titanium dioxide (TiO2) product portfolio: the Ti-Pure™ Sustainability (TS) series, which includes two high-performance grades. This new product line demonstrates Chemours' commitment to advancing the sustainability goals of its business, business units and customers.
"When we say we aspire to be the world's most sustainable titanium dioxide company, we mean it," said Ed Sparks, president of Chemours Titanium Technologies and Chemical Solutions. "Our customers crave sustainable solutions, so we are proud to answer the call with new and existing sustainability-conscious titanium dioxide innovations."
The first two products of the new Ti-Pure™ sustainability series include:
Ti-Pure TS-6300 is a high hiding power pigment for coating applications designed to improve sustainability, minimize climate impact, and maximize resource efficiency through superior hiding power and reduced material consumption. To help customers quantify the reduced environmental impact of this grade, Chemours recently launched the Ti-Pure TS-6300 Environmental Footprint Calculator.
Ti-Pure TS-6200 is an ultra-durable grade specifically designed to improve sustainability, minimize climate impact, and maximize resource efficiency by improving dispersion and reducing energy, extending product life and avoiding waste.
Both are existing grades specifically designed to help paint formulators create high-quality, long-lasting products that reduce material consumption and CO2 equivalent emissions.
"As a science-based company, it's important to note that our Ti-Pure Sustainability family is rooted in data and action," said Cristiana Borrelli, "technical director at Titanium Technologies. "Over the next few months, we will be launching several new products – covering each of our core areas – specifically designed to promote sustainability by addressing some of society's and our customers' biggest challenges. Our goal is to make sustainability-oriented decisions easier for our customers, and we believe this new sustainability portfolio will enable us to do just that."
