KCC Organic Waterborne Waterproofing Releases The drying speed is shortened to a quarter of that of oil-based waterproofing
Global Paint Network News: KCC launched the first organic waterborne fire-retardant coating "Fire Mask AQ Series" in Korea. The Fire Mask AQ-1000 and AQ-2000 products that dry at a quarter of the existing oil-based fire-retardant coatings, and can be applied twice a day, are high-performance products that can shorten the application time and minimize coating film defects during application.
The Fire Mask AQ series is a halogen-free eco-friendly product that minimizes VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content and does not emit harmful substances.
Fireproof coating is used on the surface of flammable substrates, which can reduce the flammability of the surface of the coated material and prevent the rapid spread of fire, so as to improve the fire resistance limit of the coated material A special coating. Organic waterborne refractory coatings are products that replace the oil-based resin of the paint with water-soluble resin on the basis of fire resistance, strengthening environmental protection.
KCC said: "Compared with other companies' oil-based refractory coatings, the Fire Mask AQ series also has excellent fire resistance in thin film thickness, and has obtained the Korea Construction Technology Research Institute refractory structure certification, KCC has been working hard to develop functional refractory coating technology that delays the spread of fire from high temperatures and flames, especially to expand coating products suitable for waterborne resins that are helpful to the environment, and expects to provide safe green protection for indoor and outdoor environments."
