The development and industrialization of RNA interference biopesticides in Shandong, led by Kqiao, started smoothly
On the morning of February 17th, the launch meeting of Shandong's key R&D project—Development and industrialization of RNA interfered biopesticide, was held in Binzhou Bohai Advanced Technology Research Institute.
Master the opportunities for global scientific and technological competition
The project is led by Shandong Kqiao and jointly undertaken by Qingdao Agricultural University, Shandong University and some related Institutes. The project aims at the key, difficult and pain points of green prevention and control technology of fruit and vegetable diseases and pests, focuses on the strategic goal of high-quality development of national ecological protection and serves the needs of modern efficient agriculture in Shandong Province, breaks through the industrialization of RNAi technology and the transformation from laboratory research to commercial production, and realizes the breakthrough of "jam" patent technology to enhance the international competitiveness of our pesticide industry, provide new green products for the prevention and control of agricultural diseases and insect pests, and alleviate various problems caused by the extensive use of chemical pesticides.
RNAi biopesticide has the advantages of excellent efficacy, high environmental and ecological safet, does not change the genetic information of the species, easy to solve the resistance problem, so it is called the third revolution in the history of pesticides. Rna-interfered biopesticides have great market potential and broad application prospect.
Li Zhaohui, Director of Binzhou Science and Technology Bureau, Li Ning, president of Kqiao and some related people attended the meeting.
