The operating revenue of Wanhua Chemical exceeded 165.5 billion yuan, an increase of 13.76% year on year, and the R&D investment reached 3.4 billion yuan
On March 20, the listed company Wanhua Chemical disclosed its 2022 annual report, showing that last year, the company achieved an operating revenue of 165.565 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.76%; Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 16.234 billion yuan, 34.14% less than last year; Earnings per share 5.17 yuan.
Data show that by the end of 2022, the total assets of Wanhua Chemical reached 200,843 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 5.53%; The owner's equity attributable to the parent company was 76.845 billion yuan, up 12.18% year on year.
It is worth noting that Wanhua Chemical's net profit in 2022 declined year on year, but the government subsidies and investment income in 2022 were not large. Data show that in 2022, the company booked current profit and loss of government subsidies of 740 million yuan, investment income of 400 million yuan.
In addition, Wanhua Chemical spent 3.42 billion yuan on research and development in 2022, accounting for 2.07 percent of its operating revenue.
Wanhua Chemical said that the company's annual R&D investment in 2022 will focus on technology incubation investment in new business segments such as high-end new chemical materials and solutions and emerging materials. Focus on the research and development of carbon neutralization related technologies, polyurethane downstream applications, high-performance materials (nylon 12, special PC, POE, optical grade PMMA, etc.), new energy storage and battery materials, CMP information materials (electronic materials), separation and purification projects.
