CVS Health, Dow Chemical Not Donating to Pro-Trump Group
A pro-Trump nonprofit group called “America first policies” lost two big donors Friday.
CVS Health and Dow Chemical announced they will no longer contribute to the organization.
That comes after it was reported staffers there have histories of making racist and other hateful comments.
One staffer said the quote “black race” has “lax” morals before joining the organization.
He also asserted Americans should be able to shoot undocumented immigrants crossing the border from Mexico.
One adviser for the group was seen in a video making an offensive anti-Semitic remark.
Both men say their comments have been taken out of context.
CVS Health and Dow Chemical both say they were not aware of the comments when they made their donations.
Regional utility southern company is another large donor to America first policies.
It has not commented on the matter.
Together, CVS, Dow and Southern Company have donated $1.6 million to the group.
