Recently, Biofarma, an Indonesian pharmaceutical company jointly controlled by Ardian and the Scarpa family, announced a final agreement to acquire 100% equity in CDMO company US Pharma Lab. It is expected that the acquisition transaction will be completed in the third quarter of 2023.
After the acquisition is completed, Amol Luhadia, the CEO of US Pharma Lab, and his management team will continue to serve as the leader of US Pharma Lab. For Biofarma Group, the acquisition of US Pharma Lab not only provides global collaborative services, but also provides significant additional benefits to new and existing customers through extensive nutritional and health product technology and research and development capabilities.
Biofarma Group Chairman Germano Scarpa also stated that Biofarma Group and US Pharma Lab will jointly provide the best technologies to better meet customer needs. This merger will also provide further opportunities to accelerate Biofarma's expansion into new geographic markets and develop new technological capabilities.
Finally, for US Pharma Lab, its core values and its ability to provide differentiated solutions to customers will be maintained and strengthened after the acquisition.
