PPG’s new paint for a new start initiative to decorate schools worldwide with colorful makeovers

PPG officially announced that it will complete 25 diverse and transformative school renovations globally through its "New Paint, New Start" program from June to August 2023, which is part of the company's diverse community program.

In the second year of the "New Paint, New Start" program, PPG employees will voluntarily take time to change the learning environment of schools in various regions around the world. Each project will utilize PPG coating products and color related professional knowledge to create an engaging learning and growth space for students.

Malesia Dunn, Executive Director of PPG Foundation and Corporate Global Social Responsibility, stated that: "PPG staff from all regions gathered together again to protect and beautify the school and Learning space and stimulate students to make a good start in campus. For young students, every day they need to start learning, growing and developing in a positive learning environment. We aim to help them start each day with a positive attitude, and create a happy space for them to feel supported and involved."

New Paint for a New Start provides meaningful changes and resources for students in need and school infrastructure to start anew. “This extends to motivating students to raise environmental awareness, "said Diane Kappas, Vice President of Global Sustainable Development at PPG. “In 2023, we will also incorporate sustainability elements into each project, including activities such as recycling materials and supplies, tree planting, environmental themed murals, and educational activities.”
