Hunan chemical raw material prices fell 8.7% in May
National Bureau of Statistics Hunan Survey team recently released data: in May, Hunan industrial producer prices fell 2.5% year on year, the decline was 0.7 percentage points higher than the previous month. Month-on-month decline was 0.9 per cent. The purchasing prices of industrial producers fell by 3.7% year-on-year, 0.2 percentage points higher than the previous month. It was down 0.6 per cent month-on-month.
Among the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production fell by 3.4% year-on-year, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the previous month, which affected the overall level of ex-factory prices of industrial producers to fall by about 2.38 percentage points.
Among the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of agricultural and sideline products rose 2.7 percent year-on-year, and the prices of building materials and non-metals rose 0.9 percent. Non-ferrous metal materials and wire prices down 9.5%, ferrous metal materials prices down 9.4%, chemical raw materials prices down 8.7%, fuel, power prices down 2.7%, other industrial raw materials and semi-finished products prices down 2.2%, textile raw materials prices down 1.8%, wood and pulp prices down 1.7%.
From the point of view of the month-on-month change in industrial producer prices, it fell by 1.0%. Among them, the price of raw materials industry fell by 1.1%, the price of processing industry fell by 1.0%, and the price of extractive industry fell by 0.6%. The price of means of living decreased by 0.7% month-on-month, of which, the price of durable consumer goods decreased by 2.4%, the price of food decreased by 0.3%, the price of general daily necessities decreased by 0.1%, and the price of clothing was unchanged.
