Chemours Joint Venture Begins Operations in Fuel Cell Technology Market

soutuliao 2023-07-20

Recently, the global titanium dioxide leader, Chemours, announced that its joint venture with BWT FUMATECH, THE Mobility F.C. Membranes Company GmbH - A BWT Chemours Company, has obtained necessary approvals from the European Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation, and has begun operations. This joint venture company, which focuses on fuel cell technology, manufactures fuel cell and humidifier membranes for the mobile market. This also means that Chemours has officially set its sights on the hydrogen energy market.

Since the fourth quarter of last year, Chemours has reached a joint venture agreement with the BWT Group. Chemours stated that it is expected that the market for heavy fuel cell membranes will grow to $900 million by 2030, which fully demonstrates the importance of this technology. This also explains why Chemours, which has a high market share in the titanium dioxide industry, is optimistic about the better prospects of this market and is taking big steps to cross-border transformation.
