BCL Industries Commissions 200 KLPD Ethanol Expansion Plant at Bhatinda to Support India's Push Towards Biofuels
BCL Industries, a leading Indian agro-based company, has recently commissioned a new 200 KLPD ethanol expansion plant at their Bhatinda facility in Punjab, India. This expansion will increase the company's total ethanol production capacity to 400 KLPD, positioning them as a significant player in the Indian ethanol industry.
The new plant will utilize various agro-based raw materials such as sugarcane molasses, corn, and broken rice to produce ethanol. This diversification in feedstocks will help the company to reduce their dependence on a single source and enhance their overall production efficiency.
The expansion of the Bhatinda facility is in line with the Indian government's push towards biofuels and reducing the country's dependence on fossil fuels. The government has set an ambitious target of achieving 20% ethanol blending with petrol by 2025, and this expansion by BCL Industries will contribute to achieving that target.
