IFF Presents Study Outcomes Confirming the Efficacy of Aurist AGC in Body Wash Products
IFF has unveiled the findings of a study demonstrating the effectiveness of Aurist AGC (INCI: Water (Aqua) (and) Alpha-Glucan Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (and) Propylene Glycol) in enhancing the performance of body wash products.
The outcomes of a clinical investigation focused on the sensory advantages of this ingredient revealed a noteworthy reduction in skin roughness, leaving a smooth and silky residual sensation after using cleansers that incorporate this ingredient.
The study also assessed rinsing performance, with panelists noting a substantial reduction in rinsing time when utilizing formulations containing Aurist AGC, according to the company.
Originally introduced as a hair conditioning polymer, Aurist AGC has expanded its benefits to encompass improvements in skin texture and rinsability for skin cleansing and body wash applications.
This environmentally friendly conditioning biopolymer, recognized for its biodegradability, was honored with the gold prize for Best Functional Ingredient at the 2023 in-Cosmetics Global Innovation Zone.
Johan Jansén-Storbacka, Director of Personal Care at IFF, remarked, "We are committed to exploring the untapped potential of our ingredients, adapting to evolving market dynamics, and enabling our customers to deliver innovative benefits across various applications."
