In-Cosmetics Asia Recognizes Sleep Beauty and Barrier Boosters with Top Honors

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics' Immunight and Gattefossé's Emulium Dermolea MB secured prestigious gold awards at the in-cosmetics Asia event in Bangkok, Thailand, held from November 7 to 9 at the BITEC venue.

Immunight, an innovative sleep beauty active ingredient, clinched the top spot in the Innovation Zone Best Active Ingredient category during the ceremony on November 8. This green-processed, oil-soluble lavandin extract is crafted to counteract the impact of poor-quality sleep on the skin. By enhancing nighttime skin recovery and addressing sleep quality through the inhalation of olfactory compounds, Immunight stood out as a noteworthy winner.

Emulium Dermolea MB, recipient of the Innovation Zone Best Functional Ingredient award, took the spotlight as a plant-based oil-in-water emulsifier. Its distinctive lipidic composition, rich in sterols and triterpenes, offers a solution to alleviate skin stress and deliver long-term soothing effects.

The competition in skin improvement ingredients was fierce, with Codif securing silver for Regetaste, an anti-aging epidermal ingredient enhancing skin texture and brightness. Rahn earned bronze recognition for Perfeline, a formulation designed to fortify micro-vessels in human skin.

In the realm of functional ingredients, IOI Oleo claimed silver for Softisan MagicPowder S, a water-resistant and water-binding vegan film-former with a barrier-protecting effect. Elementis secured the bronze position with Bentone Plus Glow, a formulation that combines natural ingredients to provide rheological control and suspension to the oil phase of cosmetics and skincare products while promoting the skin's barrier function.
