Brenntag Achieves Certification for PCF Data Calculation Method
Brenntag has secured certification for its Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data calculation method following a thorough evaluation by the independent external entity TÜV Rheinland.

The certification attests that Brenntag's PCF methodology aligns with the globally recognized standard ISO 14067:2018 and adheres to the guidelines outlined in the Together for Sustainability (TfS) PCF Guideline.
In a move towards industry-wide standardization, the 47 member companies of the chemical industry initiative TfS reached a consensus on a uniform global standard for calculating PCFs at the close of 2022. Brenntag has since been diligently applying this standardized approach, taking into account the diverse stages of the supply chain.
Andreas Kicherer, Ph.D., Vice President of Sustainability at Brenntag Group, emphasized the significance of providing comprehensive product carbon footprint data for the entire product portfolio. This transparency enables customers to gain valuable insights into the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with a product throughout its entire life cycle. The certification from TÜV Rheinland serves as a testament to the credibility of Brenntag's calculation procedure, reaffirming the company's commitment to sustainability and transparency.
