Provital's Altheostem Targets Senescent Skin Cells & Reduces Perceived Age

Provital's Altheostem*, derived from lab-grown Althaea rosaea (hollyhock) stem cells, reduces the number of senescent skin cells by 44% (in vitro) by inducing apoptosis (cell death). Furthermore, the technology promotes the expression of genes involved in the extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling of senescent human dermal fibroblasts (HDF).

 
The ingredient's senolytic activity reportedly results in healthier, more youthful skin, with Provital AI studies of visual apparent age showing up to 3.26 years of visible age reduction among users. In the periocular area, Altheostem can generate a 5.7-year reduction in perceived age.

 
Key benefits of Altheostem include enhanced skin elasticity, a reversal of age-related skin thickness loss in the dermis and epidermis, improved skin texture and decrease in wrinkle depth and volume.
