DKSH and MP Gokyo Collaborate to Bring Tamavisco, An Exceptional Plant-Based Rheology Skin Modifier, to European Beauty Enthusiasts
In a strategic move to elevate the personal care ingredient landscape in Europe, DKSH has recently inked an exclusive distribution deal with MP Gokyo Food & Chemical, the esteemed Japanese purveyor of innovative cosmetic ingredients. This partnership spans ten discerning markets in Europe, including Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
The focal point of this collaboration is Tamavisco, an exceptional plant-based rheology modifier meticulously extracted from tamarind seeds. Renowned for its opulent sensory attributes, Tamavisco serves as both a thickener and a distinctive gelling agent, forming a delicate film on the skin to impart lasting hydration.
MP Gokyo proudly emphasizes the sustainability aspect of Tamavisco, branding it as an upcycled, 100% botanical source ingredient that epitomizes eco-conscious beauty. Hidemitsu Wakita, the President and CEO of MP Gokyo, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership, stating, “MP Gokyo has been a trailblazer in delivering high-quality tamarind seed gum for almost six decades. We are thrilled to embark on this new venture with DKSH, particularly for Tamavisco, our flagship product.”
Wakita further highlighted the ecological significance of Tamavisco, asserting its role in fostering sustainable beauty practices. “With the robust support from DKSH, we anticipate Tamavisco making profound inroads into the European market, becoming an integral component of our customers' product innovations,” he added.
Roland Kraut, DKSH's Vice President of Personal Care, echoed the excitement, stating, “We are pleased to join forces with MP Gokyo across ten key markets in Europe. Leveraging our robust local presence, we aim to catalyze growth and amplify market reach, ensuring Tamavisco's accessibility to a broader customer demographic.”
This collaboration marks a union of Japanese ingenuity and European market prowess, promising a new era for beauty formulations that embrace both efficacy and environmental consciousness. As Tamavisco unfolds its potential across the cosmetic landscape, beauty enthusiasts in Europe can anticipate a wave of sustainable and sensorially indulgent products on the horizon.
