Recently, after 16 months of construction, Xingfa Group's annual output of 55 kilometers of phosphorus concentrate special channel successfully opened. It is reported that this is the first phosphate rock pipeline project in Hubei Province, after completion, there will be 2 million tons of phosphate rock per year through this pipeline "flow" out of Xingshan, to the world.

Phosphorus is an important non-metallic mineral resource in the world, which is difficult to regenerate. It is widely used in various industries of national economy such as agriculture, medicine, food, light industry, chemical industry and national defense. Over the years, there has been a phenomenon of rich mining and poor abandonment in the process of phosphate mining, the main reason is that the price of phosphorus concentrate is not enough to support the profitability of the beneficiation plant, especially the beneficiation of low-grade ore and refractory ore is difficult to achieve profitability.

In the past, Xingshan’s phosphate mine 2 million tons of raw ore need to be transported by car to more than 50 kilometers of freight terminal to ship to the downstream factory production, mine to the dock only one road, causing great pressure on local traffic, pipeline transportation not only changed the environment along the road, but also injected a strong agent for the green and low-carbon development of enterprises.

"The total investment of this project is 300 million yuan, the annual transportation cost of 2 million tons of phosphate rock from above to here is 40 million yuan, after the completion of the project, about eight years can recover the cost." Xingfa Group construction engineering senior engineer Li Maobin introduced.

"The particle size and moisture content of the phosphorus concentrate produced in this project meet the transportation requirements. In addition, from Houping concentrator to Xiakou Port, there is a height difference of 800 meters that can be used, and the energy consumption is extremely low. The ordinary pulp pump can meet the transportation requirements." Xingfa Group mining engineering Doctor Liu Xin introduced.

Lin Guoce, pipeline transportation research and development engineer of Xingfa Group, introduced that because the pulp has a certain weak acidity, in order to increase the service life of the steel pipe used for pipeline transportation, it has been specially treated to increase its anti-corrosion and anti-wear ability to ensure that it can be used for more than 30 years.
