China：Many enterprises are optimistic about the market prospects of Tebuthiuron.

On March 26 and June 11, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs approved the registration of three new Tebuthiuron products, making the number of effective registered enterprises of the product reach 7. This also indicates that a number of domestic enterprises are optimistic about the market prospects of Tebuthiuron, and there may be more product registration in the future.

Among them, Shandong Huayang Pesticide Chemical Group Co., Ltd. newly registered Tebuthiuron product content is 98%, Jiangsu Flag Chemical  Industry Co., Ltd. and Shandong Rainbow Agro’s newly registered Tebuthiuron technical product content is 97%.

Previously, Jiangxi Zhonghe, Jiangsu Changlong, Jiangsu’s registered Tebuthiuron product content of 97%, Jiangxi Hetian’s registered Tebuthiuron product content of 95%

Earlier, Jiangsu Lanfeng Biological Chemical Co., LTD., Jiangsu Yunfan’s the temporary registration certificate or formal registration certificate of Tebuthiuron technical products have expired.

Tebuthiuron is a low-selectivity, broad-spectrum (destructive) Sulfonylurea herbicide, which is absorbed through the root and then transmitted to the stem and leaves, inhibits photosynthesis, and has good control effect on annual and perennial grasses and broad-leaved weeds. It can be mainly used to control non-arable weeds, shrubs in pasture, grasses and broad-leaved weeds in sugarcane fields.

In terms of formulations, there are currently 3 products effectively registered in China, of which 2 46% SC (mass concentration of 500 g/L) are used to prevent and control weeds in forest fireways; One 20% granule for export to Australia.
