Second Ascorbic acid pesticide product was approved for registration in China
On June 11, 2024, A company applied for 6% Ascorbic acid solubilized product (mass concentration 62 g/L) approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and officially registered in China.
The registered crops and uses are tobacco regulated growth. It is recommended to spray the tobacco once with 1500 to 2500 times diluent in the group tree stage and prosperous period, and use it up to 2 times per season. This is the second ascorbate pesticide products approved for registration in China.
Ascorbic acid can participate in the REDOX action of the electron transport system in plants, promote the metabolism of plants, and have many important biological functions such as resistance and disease resistance. When used in the field of plant protection, it belongs to the category of biochemical pesticides.
Prior to that, Guizhou Province Guiyang Huaxi Maoye Plant Agent Factory in 1999 in China temporarily registered the first ascorbate pesticide product - 6% Ascorbate Aq, used for tobacco growth regulation, increase in production; In June 2023, it was approved to be officially registered for tobacco regulated growth.
In particular, it should be noted that in China, pesticides and medicines and veterinary drugs have their own different management laws and regulations, and it is strictly prohibited to use medical or veterinary ascorbic acid products for plant production.
