Syngenta acquires Produtecnica, a distributor of agricultural inputs, to strengthen its agricultural services in Brazil
Syngenta recently announced the successful completion of the acquisition of Produtecnica, a Brazilian distributor of agricultural inputs, through its commercial platform SYNAP. The acquisition, which was approved by Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), marks Syngenta's further expansion into the Brazilian agricultural market
As a distributor with an extensive presence in Maranao, Piaui and Tocantins, Produtecnica, by joining Syngenta's business landscape, will provide a wider range of technical and service support to farmers in these key agricultural regions.
According to the president of Syngenta Crop Protection Brazil, Produtecnica has been distributing Syngenta products since 2005 and has established strong partnerships with local producers. This long-established relationship of trust and cooperation is a valuable asset that Syngenta cherishes.
SYNAP's Managing Director also commented positively on the acquisition, arguing that it not only brings SYNAP a brand that is highly aligned with the existing commercial platform, but also, by integrating Produtecnica's resources, will further drive Syngenta's innovative technologies and services in the Brazilian market. The addition of Produtecnica will complement SYNAP's distribution ecosystem, where its distributor partners and cooperatives will work with SYNAP's key players to contribute to Brazilian agriculture.
