IMCD Acquires Blumos Group in Latin America

IMCD, a leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the Blumos Group, including Importadora y Distribuidora Blumos SpA, Transportes Blumos SpA, Comercial e Industrial Solutec SpA in Chile, Sonutra Blumos SAC in Peru and Blumos SA (Blumos Group) in Argentina.

Founded in 1945 and headquartered in Santiago, Chile, with operations in Peru and Argentina, the Blumos Group distributes a comprehensive range of specialty ingredients and chemicals for the food, pharmaceutical and industrial markets in Latin America.

The completion of the transaction is subject to customary (regulatory) closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024.
