Röhm Obtains ISCC+ Certification for MMA and PMMA in Shanghai
Röhm Shanghai has earned ISCC PLUS certification for its MMA, PMMA, and methacrylate resin products manufactured at its Shanghai site in China.
Additionally, Röhm Chemicals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has been certified as a trading and warehousing operator under ISCC PLUS. This certification allows Röhm to offer local customers a broad selection of sustainable products under its well-known brands, including MERACRYL®, PLEXIGLAS®, DEGALAN®, and DEGAROUTE®. Röhm already markets a range of products with a lower carbon footprint under the proTerra brand, which are produced by incorporating recycled PMMA and MMA or by using sustainable raw materials certified by ISCC PLUS.
"The ISCC PLUS certification is a significant step forward in our sustainability journey in Asia," said Benjamin Ling, President of Röhm Asia. "It enables us to provide customers in China and across Asia with sustainably sourced products, maintaining high quality without requiring changes to their processes."
Earlier, Röhm’s production sites in Worms and Wesseling, Germany, also received ISCC PLUS certification. This achievement is part of Röhm’s "Track 2030" sustainability program and reinforces its ongoing commitment to sustainability.
