LyondellBasell and Nexeo Plastics Reach European Distribution Agreement for Engineering Polymers
LyondellBasell (LYB), a global leader in the chemical industry, recently announced that it has signed a new agreement with Nexeo Plastics, a leading global distributor of thermoplastic resins. From April 1, 2025, Nexeo Plastics will begin to distribute LYB's engineering polymer product range, which is part of LyondellBasell's Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) business.
Frank Noeltgen, Vice President of LYB Advanced Polymer Solutions Europe, said: "The cooperation with Nexeo Plastics further expands our market coverage. Nexeo Plastics has a mature distribution network and deep technical experience, which will help us meet the growing demand for local support and ensure that customers can get the engineering polymer products they need in a timely manner."
Joost d'Hooghe, Vice President of Nexeo Plastics Europe, Middle East and Africa, also said: "We are very pleased to establish a partnership with LYB to further enhance our ability to provide high-quality composite materials and mixtures in 40 countries and regions in Europe. This agreement will enable us to provide high-quality solutions to customers in core industries including mobile, electrical and electronics, industry and home appliances."
LYB offers a variety of engineering polymer products based on polyamide, polyester and their blends. The series of products covered by this agreement include antistatic agents, heat stabilizers, flame retardants, UV stabilizers, etc., all of which are high-performance solutions suitable for a variety of applications.
Through the partnership with Nexeo Plastics, LYB’s multiple brand products are now available in the European market, including the sustainable solutions ranges of Schulamid, Schuladur, Schulablend, Ronfalin, Polyflam, Schulatec, Schulaketon, Schulaform and Circulen.
