Novopor Acquires Pressure Chemical to Scale Specialty Chemicals
Novopor Advanced Science, a Bain Capital-backed high-performance chemicals and materials science contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has acquired US-based Pressure Chemical Company (PCC), known for its expertise in high pressure and specialty chemicals, for an undisclosed sum, according to a company press statement.
The acquisition aims to combine early development capabilities with large-scale manufacturing capabilities to create an integrated platform.
Novopor said the partnership will help drive further investment to expand its facilities, enhance technical capabilities and provide customers with a streamlined path to large-scale fine and specialty chemicals manufacturing.
PCC, a subsidiary of Minafin Group, was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, with six decades of experience in polymerization, alkoxylation and pilot-scale production.
“Pressure Chemical has deep technical expertise, a highly skilled team and strong customer relationships that are highly complementary to our platform,” said Radhesh Welling, CEO of Novopor.
“Together, we will invest in expanding our facility footprint, enhancing our capabilities in complex chemistry and creating seamless, large-scale fine and specialty manufacturing services.”
