Zhongjian Technology 1.4 Billion Yuan Investment and Strategic Partnership with Sinopec
On May 30, Zhongjian Technology announced its 14.02-billion-yuan high-performance carbon fiber project, aiming to produce 2,000 tons annually of high-strength carbon fiber (T700 grade and above) and related products. The project is expected to expand its production capacity for polyacrylonitrile precursor fibers, carbon fiber, and carbon fiber fabrics over 36 months, enhancing supply capabilities and market responsiveness.
The company stated that the project aligns with national and regional industrial policies and is positioned to leverage strong market potential, boosting its competitive edge in high-performance carbon fiber supply.
Zhongjian Technology has made significant breakthroughs with its domestically produced ZT7 and ZT9 carbon fiber series, surpassing T700 standards. These products have broken international technical blockades and achieved advanced global benchmarks. After rigorous testing, they are now stably applied in China’s aerospace sector, addressing critical national strategic needs.
In addition, Zhongjian Technology recently secured a strategic investment from Sinopec. On May 14, Sinopec Capital agreed to acquire 22.39 million shares of Zhongjian Technology from Changzhou Huatai Investment Management at 29.12 yuan per share, totaling approximately 6.52 billion yuan.
For 2024, 99.93% of Zhongjian Technology’s revenue came from new materials manufacturing. In the first quarter of 2025, the company achieved 2.39 billion yuan in revenue and a net profit of 1.13 billion yuan, solidifying its position as a leader in high-performance carbon fiber production.
