Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. has decided to establish the sixth plant for Sekisui DLJM Molding in Pune, Maharashtra, western India, which produces and sells automotive injection molded parts. The new plant will cost approximately $3 million and is expected to start production in January 2026.

Sekisui Chemical's High-Performance Plastics Division positions injection molding business in the strategic mobility sector as its core business. In order to expand this business in India, Sekisui Chemical established Sekisui DLJM Molding in August 2011 as a joint venture with local company Dipty Lal Judge Mal Private Limited and officially started operations. Since then, as India's automotive industry has increased, its business areas have also expanded. Sekisui Chemical has decided to establish a new plant in Pune, where there are a large number of automobile manufacturers and growth is expected. As a result, production capacity in India will increase by approximately 15% and business will be further expanded. Sekisui Techno Molding, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sekisui Chemical, is part of the Sekisui Chemical Group and is responsible for this business.

Sekisui DLJM Molding aims to achieve net sales of USD 130 million in FY2030, influenced by the operation of its Pune plant and other factors.
