LBB Specialties Expands Distribution Partnership with Clariant
LBB Specialties (LBBS), a North American specialty chemicals and ingredients distributor, recently announced the expansion of its distribution partnership with Clariant. The expansion will strengthen LBBS’s presence in Puerto Rico’s thriving life sciences sector, providing customers with local access to Clariant’s pharmaceutical-grade excipients, including the VitiPure product line.
Under this expanded agreement, LBB Specialties will provide the Puerto Rican market with access to Clariant’s complete excipient portfolio, local inventory, and dedicated technical and commercial support on the island.
The partnership strengthens LBBS’s ability to provide high-purity, GMP-compliant excipients designed for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications, including products designed for low endotoxins and tight microbial control.
"Puerto Rico has long been a top choice for companies to establish FDA-approved drug manufacturing operations in Puerto Rico. By expanding our partnership with Clariant, we are further strengthening our commitment to supporting the region's life science ecosystem with best-in-class excipients and responsive local service. This expansion builds on our shared vision to advance formulation innovation while ensuring supply chain reliability and technical excellence," said Seth Burns, Senior Vice President, Life Sciences, LBB Specialties.
"The expansion of our partnership with LBB Specialties marks a strategic step forward in our commitment to strengthening our global presence. The local availability of our full excipient portfolio directly addresses the needs of this important market. Clariant values LBBS's established presence and technical capabilities in Puerto Rico, which complements our focus on providing pharmaceutical-grade ingredients that meet the highest quality and regulatory standards," said Vaios Barlas, Head of Clariant's Healthcare Business.
