According to the commodity market analysis system, from August 11 to 15, the Chinese polymeric MDI market saw a slight decline. The average price at the beginning of the week was 15,800 CNY/ton, and at the end of the week, it was 157,160 CNY/ton, with a price decrease of 0.53% during the period, and a year-on-year decrease of 9.24%. Factory operations remained stable during the week, and market transaction prices showed a slight relaxation. The trading atmosphere was moderate, with most transactions being small orders. There were no changes in the news, and under the market's supply and demand dynamics, the polymeric MDI market experienced narrow fluctuations.

On the supply side, Tosoh Anan's 80,000 tons/year MDI plant in China began maintenance on July 23, with an expected duration of around 35 days.

Cost Aspect: Recently, the raw material pure benzene has slightly increased, while aniline prices remained stable this week, having limited impact on polymerized MDI.

Demand side, the downstream demand in China is average, with a cold trading atmosphere, and transactions are mainly small orders.

Future market forecast: Currently, the transaction prices in the polymerized MDI market have eased and shifted downward. Without any significant positive news to boost the market, it is expected that the polymerized MDI market will experience narrow fluctuations in the short term.
