In November, the market price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride in China showed a downward trend

ECHEMI 2025-11-30

November 29th, news:

In November, the market price of anhydrous hydrofluoric acid in China showed a downward trend. According to the analysis system, as of November 28, the benchmark price of hydrofluoric acid was 12,533.33 CNY/ton, a decrease of -1.05% compared to October.

On the raw material front: In November, the market price of fluorite—a key raw material—tended to decline, while the price of sulfuric acid—a crucial input—continued to rise. As a result, hydrogen fluoride producers are experiencing thin profit margins and face insufficient cost support, leading to a downward trend in market prices. As the end of the month approaches and sulfuric acid prices keep climbing, cost pressures on enterprises are gradually intensifying, leaving limited room for profit. It is expected that next month, the price of hydrogen fluoride will likely show a relatively strong upward trend. According to analysis systems, as of November 28, the benchmark price of fluorite stood at 3,450.00 CNY per ton, down 2.47% from the beginning of the month (3,537.50 CNY per ton).

On the demand side: In November, downstream demand remained generally weak, market trading activity was sluggish, and spot orders were insufficient. Most companies focused on depleting their own inventories, resulting in reduced purchasing power for upstream products. It is expected that the anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market will experience slight fluctuations in the coming period.

Market Forecast: Raw material prices have shown mixed trends—fluorite market prices have declined, while sulfuric acid prices continue to rise. This has intensified cost pressures on enterprises, squeezing profit margins. Coupled with weak downstream demand and a focus on essential purchases, the overall trading atmosphere in the market remains sluggish. Taken together, under the pressure of high costs, the anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market is expected to remain volatile but generally trend stronger in the coming period. Further attention should be paid to changes in market supply and demand.
