November epoxy chloropropane market first fell then stabilized
November 30th, according to news
In November, the market for epichlorohydrin first declined and then stabilized. According to monitoring and analysis systems, as of November 28, the benchmark price for epichlorohydrin was 11,200.00 CNY per ton, down -5.88% compared to the beginning of the month.
Price influencing factors:
On the raw material front: The price of glycerol, a key raw material, has fallen under the influence of overseas markets, weakening its support for the market price of epichlorohydrin. Although propylene prices—a major raw material—rose slightly this month, they began to decline again toward the end of the month. Overall, cost pressures have been mixed, providing insufficient support for epichlorohydrin prices. Traders are pessimistic and show a strong willingness to sell at lower prices in order to secure new orders, leading to a generally weaker market performance. According to the market analysis system, as of November 28, the benchmark price of propylene stood at 6,193.25 CNY per ton, up 2.23% from the beginning of the month (6,058.25 CNY per ton).
On the demand side: The downstream epoxy resin market is experiencing weak demand, and actual transaction activity remains sluggish. Traders are mostly adopting a wait-and-see approach and proceeding with caution in their procurement, further exacerbating the market’s downturn. Downstream end-use consumption of epichlorohydrin remains lackluster, lacking strong support. It is expected that in the coming period, epichlorohydrin market prices will mainly remain stable.
Market Forecast: Epoxy Chloropropane analysts believe that cost factors are providing weaker support for epoxy chloropropane prices. Downstream demand remains weak, with buyers primarily making purchases based on immediate needs, resulting in a sluggish trading atmosphere. It is expected that epoxy chloropropane market prices will mainly remain stable in the near term; further attention should be paid to changes in raw material prices and shifts in market supply and demand.
