Wanhua Chemical Announces MDI Price Hike Across South and Southeast Asia

ECHEMI 2025-12-01

Effective December 1, 2025, Wanhua Chemical will implement a price increase of USD 200 per metric ton for both polymeric MDI and pure MDI products sold in South and Southeast Asia, unless otherwise stipulated in existing contracts.

The adjustment stems from a comprehensive evaluation of prevailing market conditions, product reliability, and supply stability. Wanhua emphasized that the move is designed to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality products and premium service standards to its customers in these strategically important regions.

As a global leader in MDI production, Wanhua’s pricing decisions often set benchmarks across the polyurethane value chain. This latest increase reflects tightening supply-demand dynamics, rising feedstock costs, and the company’s commitment to maintaining operational excellence amid evolving regional economic landscapes. The announcement signals Wanhua’s proactive stance in aligning its commercial strategy with long-term sustainability and customer value.
