Indorama Corporation Acquires 100% Stake in Anyang Zhongying Fertilizer
Singapore-based chemical group Indorama Corporation recently announced that its subsidiary, Indorama Investment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., has signed a definitive agreement with Asian private equity firm PAG to acquire 100% ownership of Anyang Zhongying Fertilizer Co., Ltd. and Anyang Yingde Gas Co., Ltd. The transaction was officially completed on December 25, 2025.
Located in Henan Province, Anyang Zhongying Fertilizer is one of China’s leading urea producers. Its core products include urea, alongside ammonia, automotive urea (DEF), and industrial gases. The company serves both agricultural and industrial applications and has established a stable production and operational base in the region.
Indorama stated that the acquisition marks a significant step in the company’s global fertilizer business development and further strengthens its presence in the Chinese market. As the world’s largest fertilizer consumer, China plays a key role in ensuring global agricultural production and food security. The mature operational infrastructure of Anyang Zhongying Fertilizer in Henan aligns closely with Indorama’s long-term strategy of investing in high-quality assets and supporting sustainable agriculture.
Amit Lohia, Vice Chairman of Indorama Corporation, commented:"We are confident in the long-term growth prospects of the Chinese market. This acquisition will allow us to expand our product portfolio in China and provide farmers and downstream customers with reliable, efficient, and sustainable solutions, while further strengthening our position in the global fertilizer value chain."
Former owner PAG noted that during its investment period, it supported Anyang Zhongying Fertilizer in expanding capacity, improving efficiency, and enhancing its operational value through active involvement in management. PAG stated that the successful completion of the transaction represents an important milestone in the company’s development.
Indorama added that, leveraging its global operational expertise, industry resources, and supply chain capabilities, Anyang Zhongying Fertilizer will have greater opportunities to enhance production efficiency, optimize its product mix, and advance sustainable practices. As part of the new group, the company’s competitiveness in both the domestic and global fertilizer markets is expected to strengthen further.
