China Sodium Metabisulfite Price Trend

According to the commodity market analysis system, the price of sodium metabisulfite in China increased this week. The average price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 2,280 CNY per ton, and by the end of the week, it had risen to 2,290 CNY per ton, representing a 0.44% increase.

This week, the market price of industrial sodium metabisulfite (96.5% content) in China has risen. The price of soda ash, an upstream product of sodium metabisulfite, remains stable, while the price of sulfur, another upstream raw material, has increased by 2.29%. The price of downstream caprolactam has also risen by 0.35%. The continuous rise in the price of sulfur, an upstream raw material, has driven up the price of sodium metbisulfite. (The above prices refer to the quotes from major Chinese companies. Some companies that have not reported their prices are not included. The prices are for reference only and are not related to the final pricing by manufacturers. For more details, please contact the respective manufacturers.)

Future Market Forecast

Sodium metabisulfite raw material costs in China have risen, supporting prices. It is expected that in the short term, prices in the Chinese market may mainly follow a trend of fluctuation with a bias towards strength.
