This Week's Hydrogen Fluoride Market Operates Steadily in China (2.2-2.6)
February 6 news
This week, the market for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride operated steadily. According to the analysis system, as of February 6th, the benchmark price of hydrofluoric acid in China was 13066.67 CNY/ton, an increase of 0.26% from last month.
Raw Materials Side: This week, the price of fluorite—a key raw material—rose slightly, providing some support to costs on the raw materials side. According to analysis systems, as of February 6, the benchmark price for fluorite stood at 3,425.00 CNY per ton, up 0.18% from the beginning of this month (3,418.75 CNY per ton).
On the demand side: The downstream sector is experiencing a slow season, and demand continues to weaken. Operating rates at the end-user level have all been lowered. In the refrigerant industry—the largest downstream segment—production quotas are nearly exhausted as the year draws to a close, resulting in overall weak demand. Most companies are depleting their existing inventories and primarily placing small, on-demand orders. It is expected that anhydrous hydrogen fluoride will likely trade in a range-bound, consolidating pattern before the holidays.
Market Forecast: The price of fluorite raw material remains supported at a high level, while downstream demand remains weak, with purchasing driven primarily by essential needs. As a result, demand-side support is weakening. It is expected that the market price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride will likely fluctuate and consolidate in the near term. Further attention should be paid to changes in market supply and demand.
