Bullish support keeps hydrogen peroxide prices rising in March in China
In early March, the demand from the end-user paper printing industry in China was acceptable, and the operating rates of manufacturers were moderate, with the hydrogen peroxide market trend being relatively stable. In the second week, influenced by the situation in the Middle East, products such as crude oil and natural gas saw a significant increase, leading to higher transportation costs for hydrogen peroxide. Manufacturers had a strong expectation of price increases, resulting in a rise in the market. By March 10th, the price of hydrogen peroxide had risen to around 670 CNY/ton, an increase of about 70 CNY/ton from the beginning of the month.
After the middle of the month, positive factors continued to support the market; supply tightened, and terminal demand improved. As a result, the hydrogen peroxide market continued its upward trend, rising all the way to 790 CNY per ton. The price increase compared to the beginning of the month was nearly 200 CNY per ton.
The hydrogen peroxide analyst believes that since some manufacturers’ facilities remain under maintenance, supply remains tight, providing upward support, and the hydrogen peroxide market is expected to continue rising.
