On June 18, the 24th CPhI China (International Exhibition on Pharmaceutical Ingredients) came to a successful close at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This year's exhibition brought together over 3,700 exhibitors and attracted more than 110,000 professional visitors from over 180 countries and regions.

This edition featured clearly segmented exhibition zones covering the entire industry chain, with traditional chemical APIs running in parallel with cutting-edge biotech innovation tracks.
Traditional sectors—including bulk APIs, specialty generic drug intermediates, and pharmaceutical excipients—showcased compliant mass-production solutions, with multiple product lines clearly labeled as meeting major global pharmacopoeia standards (USP, EP, JP, etc.), drawing extensive inquiries from overseas procurement teams.
The Bio Innovation Zone gathered cutting-edge technologies such as nucleic acid drugs, cell therapy, synthetic biology, and AI-driven drug discovery, with exhibits including targeted delivery vectors, in-vitro cell preparation equipment, and high-throughput screening instruments—visually demonstrating the technological evolution of global R&D.

Throughout the show, over 100 professional forums were held concurrently, covering key topics including global drug regulatory policies, supply chain security, green pharmaceutical processes, global BD collaborations for innovative drugs, and novel drug delivery system development. R&D heads from domestic and international pharmaceutical companies, university research teams, and pharmacopoeia experts engaged in in-depth discussions on industry pain points and future technology roadmaps, providing attendees with forward-looking market intelligence.

ECHEMI WPO Department received a large number of professional visitors over the three-day event, fully demonstrating the platform's core service capabilities and presenting the entire process from buyer-seller matching to order fulfillment. Numerous suppliers expressed strong interest in the platform's inquiry-matching mechanism and brand promotion tools, completing on-site registrations and membership applications.

During the exhibition, ECHEMI's Life Sciences Industry Overview magazine—focusing on the latest trends, industrial innovation, and market analysis—provided professional information services to industry practitioners, with nearly 100 copies distributed on-site.

The ECHEMI team completed booth interviews and product photography for nearly 10 platform suppliers, extending their exhibition impact beyond the physical venue to digital channels and reaching additional potential customers.

Both ECHEMI's Pharmaceutical and Food divisions continuously received real purchase orders throughout the show. Peptide APIs, represented by Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, remained a key focus for buyers during the three days. The team's long-standing expertise in regulatory compliance and supply chain management enabled smoother and faster progress on these complex products than clients had anticipated.

Through three intensive days of business matching, ECHEMI demonstrated to professional visitors its professional capabilities in digital services and pharmaceutical & food ingredient distribution.
The pharmaceutical industry business matching session co-hosted by ECHEMI and CPhI China brought together buyers from multiple countries and nearly 50 domestic API and intermediate companies for one-on-one discussions on products including peptides and biologics, specialty APIs, and high-purity pharmaceutical excipients. Leveraging CPhI China's international sourcing resources, the event created more direct communication opportunities for supply and demand sides, facilitating further cooperation.

As this edition of CPhI China draws to a close, ECHEMI will continue to advance its digital platform capabilities and expand its global supply chain service network, providing more transparent and efficient cross-border trade infrastructure for the pharmaceutical ingredients industry.
