The market price of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate in China fell by 20.63% this month.
2. Market Analysis
This month, the operating rate of coking grade remained slightly adjusted, while the operating rate of caprolactam grade decreased. This month, international urea continued to be weak, and the export market for ammonium sulfate weakened, with a predominantly bearish market sentiment, leading to a continuous decline in ammonium sulfate prices. The price of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate in China significantly decreased, while coking-grade ammonium sulfate followed with a slight decrease. Downstream buyers replenished stocks according to their needs, and new orders in the market decreased. As of June 29, the mainstream ex-factory quotation for coking-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong region was around 970-1030 CNY/ton. For caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate, the mainstream ex-factory quotation in Shandong region was around 1240-1270 CNY/ton.
According to the weekly K-bar chart from March 30, 2026, to June 22, 2026, the price of ammonium sulfate in China fluctuated. In June, the price of ammonium sulfate in China decreased significantly, with the largest price decrease occurring in the week of June 1, at 5.05%.

Ammonium sulfate analysts believe that recently, the price trend of ammonium sulfate in China has been mainly downward. Foreign demand for Chinese products has not improved, and international urea prices continue to weaken, with negative factors concentrating. It is expected that in the short term, the market price of ammonium sulfate in China will continue to fall moderately.
