July 17th, news:
I. Price Trends
Taking titanium dioxide rutile grade produced via the sulfuric acid process—whose sales volume is relatively high in the Chinese market—as an example, data monitoring shows that titanium dioxide prices in China have declined this week. Last Friday, the average price of titanium dioxide was 16,240 CNY per ton, while this Friday, the average price has dropped to 15,600 CNY per ton, representing a price decrease of 3.94%.
II. Market Analysis
This week, the market price of titanium dioxide in China has decreased. The market price of upstream titanium concentrate has also decreased. Due to the off-season for market demand, the demand from downstream markets is poor, and the purchasing enthusiasm is not high, with most adopting a wait-and-see attitude. So far, the quotations for sulfate process rutile titanium dioxide in China are mostly between 14,400 - 18,000 CNY/ton; while anatase type is around 13,000 - 14,000 CNY/ton, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
3. Future Market Forecast
Titanium dioxide analysts believe: This week, the focus of China's titanium dioxide market has shifted downward. Currently, corporate inventories remain high, the market is weak, and trading is light. It is expected that in the short term, the titanium dioxide market will be weak, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
