The factory price of coconut shell activated carbon for water purification in East China is between 9,500 and 13,000 CNY per ton. For columnar coal-based activated carbon with an iodine value of around 1,000, the price is between 8,200 and 9,500 CNY per ton. The supply of raw materials from Indonesia and Vietnam is limited, and the import of carbonized materials is tight. Manufacturers have low inventory levels and a strong intention to maintain prices.
Demand side: The demand from the water treatment, pure water, and food decolorization industries in China remains stable; the demand for high-iodine value carbon for gold mine carbon extraction is also steady, but purchases are generally being held back, with not much bulk stockpiling. Traders are observing the market, and low-price supplies are gradually decreasing, leaving limited room for negotiation on small orders; however, there is still room for negotiation on large and long-term orders.
Prediction: The trading of coconut shell activated carbon in China is below expectations, and it is estimated that the price of activated carbon may mainly fluctuate in the short term.
