Infineum acquired the British ISCA emulsifier business unit
Recently, Infineum has signed a contract to acquire its emulsifier business unit with British ISCA. Infineum will acquire ISCA’s ISCAMUL emulsifier brand and formulation expertise. According to reports, this acquisition marks Infineum's re-entry into the emulsion explosives market, using Infineum's existing technology to better serve existing and potential new customers.
Trevor Russell, Global CEO of Infineum said: “I am very happy that Infineum has entered this business area because mining technology is essential for electrified vehicles that rely on the supply of precious metals. Compared with other types of mining explosives, emulsion explosives It is a more sustainable method, which produces less smoke and gas, which is consistent with Infineum's sustainable development strategy."
