Corn starch spot prices rose recently
The domestic corn starch spot market showed strong performance after the holiday, and the quotations of major companies in North China continued to increase. The overall market was very important and there was a strong atmosphere of reluctance to sell. The high-end quotation rose to 3,400 CNY/ton.
The positive support for the increase in corn starch prices this week is mainly due to low market supply, rising prices of various raw materials and auxiliary materials, and increased post-holiday trading in the downstream market. The tight market supply and demand pattern, especially the insufficient supply of small packages, makes companies more willing to stand up for prices.
The overall buying and selling atmosphere in the upstream and downstream markets was active, and the transaction prices of new orders in many places rose steadily. With the resumption of production by some large enterprises in the Northeast region, market supply increased, and some high prices in the early period fell within a narrow range. The average price of domestic corn starch in the spot market this week was 3,252.62 CNY/ton, an increase of 22.62 CNY/ton, 0.70%, compared with the average price of the week before the holiday.
