PPG appoints devashish Saxena as vice president and chief digital Officer
Recently, PPG announced the appointment of devashish Saxena as vice president and chief digital officer, effective April 1. In this new role, Saxena will lead the company's digital transformation, create a sustainable digital organization, and release customer value through enhancement, connectivity, automation, insight and innovation. Tim knavish, senior vice president of PPG and President of architectural coatings in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said, "devashish has a good record in establishing a global digital organization and strategy, and has served as a senior management leading role in numerous channels and fortune 500 enterprises in his 25 year career." Previously, Saxena served as vice president of digital strategy in Rexel, which is responsible for global digital business and e-commerce. Located in France, Saxena is a multi-channel electronic product distributor. Prior to joining Rexel, Saxena was senior vice president of global e-commerce strategy at Premier Farnell in the UK, a multi-channel distribution group. His background also includes senior Internet marketing positions at Texas Instruments, Inc. and A.T. Kearney. Saxena started her career as an e-commerce strategic architect of Nortel network. Saxena received a master's and bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Texas, as well as an MBA.
