The Latest Review of Methanol is Here! It Will Continue to Fall in the Coming Week
In the week of August 19, the domestic methanol market was in a stalemate. Both supply and demand sides were relatively cautious. It was difficult for imports to quickly recover to support the supply side. As of Friday, the weekly average price in Taicang, Jiangsu was about 2,440 CNY/ton, down 1% month-on-month; the weekly average price in Guangdong was 2,460 CNY/ton; the northwest Ordos was 2,260 CNY/ton, a slight increase from the previous month.
The national inventory decreased this week, especially in Inner Mongolia, the long-term delivery of goods was actively carried out, and the equipment maintenance led to a significant decline in corporate inventory. The supply of some installations in the southwest due to high temperature power curtailment was reduced, and the performance of port warehouses was not obvious.
